Question Change Design & Colors, customize Templates

Hello,

I'm new in PhotoPost. I want to create a standalone Photo Gallery. NOT integrated in vBulletin. But I have vB-forums also.

I have installed PhotoPost and it comes with an "all black" design, which is not very nice. I would like to customize these colors, but how. Do you have other ready to use designs? I would like to have something in the style of vBulletin, different blue colors.

I would like to customize the layout also. For example, PhotoPlug uses a 100% width per default. I would like a fixed 1000px width for the whole application (including the line with "login" etc).

I think, there are templates. But where to start? What template is for what purpose? Is there any documentation? Or again: Ready to use templates with fixed design, for example like vBulletin?

Thank you in advance
Frank

Thank you very much. But where can I search for alternate layouts? There are additional layouts from All Enthusiast?

Where would you change the width of the page. Which template or style file?

There lots of stylesheets to edit in the admin-area: Where can I switch between these stylesheets?

There are about 12 styles in admin layout options you can try out. In layout options you set which one you want to use.

The width you can change in admin index options although I would suggest you use header and footers around the product to constrain the width if using a sidebar.

Gotcha!
How can I create new styles for customizing. Copy one in which directory?

You say, I should put PhotoPost in a layer? "Header" and "Footer" are html-areas in PhotoPost, which I can use?

You can create your own html headers and footer files and then load them via server path in global options in admin

as far as styles your free to make your own but you would need to look at the others in stylesheets directory for the classes etc.
