Creating Custom Frames

How do I create my own frames for categories?
I noticed since I set a category where I place my POTW winners. I'd like to have a frame that I could create that would have a blue ribbon 1st place as the frame :)
Is there a way to also have frames chosen as an option to appear on the larger version instead of just the thumbnail?

I'm thinking ahead here because we might also create a second sister website that we already bought the domain name where users can create more personalized photo albums and might like to choose automatic black frames, or other choices we give them etc.

You can set a custom frame per category by going to edit categories and for each category select a new thumbnail frame or just simply use admin default.

Users can not pick frames

Thanks. Oh, thought I saw in another post that you mentioned it could be turned on or off per category. Guess I misread.
What I needed to know is graphically what do I need to do to create a frame?
Is there a basic template size etc that the programmers used who originally created the frames already available?
I wanted to know what file could I use to edit and create my own and add it to my selection for the specific category I need.

No you can set a custom frame per category sure but users cant do that only the admin ;)

You would have to view some of the thumbnail templates to see what we do. Alot of them are actual overlays images themselves and we load the image in a background statement.

ok thanks again Chuck. I'll save this little project until after Christmas.
My users are sooo anxious for us to start up the contest again since we have been down since Nov when we bought the site from the owner. Nothing like some extra pressure :D
