Move admin files into own folder

I don't know if this has been asked and answered before....search brought no results lol

I want to be able to move all the admin files into an admin folder so I can password protect them....is this possible?

Would it just be a case of finding all files that link to them and change those links....or would there be more involved, like database changes?

TIA
Lissa

Not without code alteration no. The admin files can not be ran any anyone other than those who have access and there are only 4 files so a directory was never made.
