How to disable login and logout menu options

I am handling login and logout via an aMember plugin. I would like for these options to be disabled and not to appear on the menu bar. Is that possible? If so, how?

You would need to actually edit the topmenu function in pp-inc.php to remove those

Can you tell me which lines of code to modify/remove and what exactly needs to be changed?
