I screwed up some things by mistake

Earlier today, I just wasn't thinking clearly and cleared out the fields for forum settings in the admin (db table name, etc) and then saved the changes. (I can explain why later....)

This action then
(1.) wouldn't allow me to log in anymore and
(2.) I noticed also that all comment authors had been named anonymous (instead of the user names). There may have been other problems I caused but I haven't noticed any.

Are you laughing? Me too, to a degree. I still have to fix it. Silly mistake on my part.

Off the bat, I couldn't decipher which file(s) I needed to simple revert back to in my backups, so I re-uploaded my entire photopost directory from backup.

This caused a new problem. My photopost home page loads and displays, so do the category pages. But the individual photo pages don't load any data other than the header and footer. Here's a link to the gallery:

Main Index - Woodworking Project Picture Photo Gallery with Furniture, Cabinetry, Musical Instruments, and More

What should be my next course of action?

Thanks,
Mark

Try uploading the install script and run through an install completing all the fields or you will need to actually physically input the correct information in the correct settings in the pp_settings table.

Okay, new information. And thank you for your suggestion, BTW. Was a good idea.

Running the install script didn't exactly pan out. After running it, I could use my admin user/pw to log in, however it didn't recognize me as an Administrator. I'd be logged in, but when I'd go to adm-index.php I'd get an error saying I didn't have permission.

Looking in the pp_users table, I saw all users were set to usergroup id 0. I editied my admin login for usergroup 5 and I can now access the admin on the front end. I only have 100 users, so I can easily edit all those to the right user groups manually.

Now, what remains a mystery is my showphoto.php pages still don't display the photo, title, username, etc etc etc. What should I look at to fix?

are you using a standalone or integrated with a forum?

as far as showphoto try uploading a clean showphoto template yours looks corrupted or missing.

It was integrated poorly, or incompletely, with phpbb3. We've since scratched the forum on our site and I was trying to undo any integration that had been done in the past. That's how I ended up botching my database settings and caused my trouble.

Uploaded a fresh shophoto.tmpl and all seems to be good.

I think I've got it configured the way I want it, and (so far) everything seems to work as it should. If I don't check back in here, no news is good news.

Thank you for your help.
