| Won't Upload Photo
My tech guy has integrated a vbulletin and 2 PhotoPost galleries so users would only log in once.
We initially managed to upload photos into the 2 galleries but afterward they won't allow upload anymore and we get this error message: Error message:
Warning: imagejpeg() [function.imagejpeg]: Unable to open '/home5/deofaven/public_html/thedailyscrapper/gallerypp/data/522/thumbs/AKD_naturepack11.jpg' for writing: No such file or directory in /home5/deofaven/public_html/thedailyscrapper/gallerypp/image-inc.php on line 159
Galleries are:
01:: TDS Products Gallery - Main Index
02:: TDS Layouts Gallery - Main Index
Please advised.
Thanks in advance.

My initial suggestions are to ensure two things.
1. Your permissions on the data and uploads directories are set to 777 permissions at ALL LEVELS in those directories
2. Make sure safe mode is not on.

Seems funny as your data directory does not exist so maybe safe mode is on which prevents proper operation as that data directory does not exist. http://www.thedailyscrapper.com/gallerypp/data/500/
See that directory exists I know I get a white page. Now I beleive more so thats your issue that safe mode is on.
If thats the case you need to manually create all the data directories and turn safe mode off. You seem to be missing most of your data directories.
Otherwise you can also turn safe mode off and delete your categories and recreate them.

Strange, because safe mode is off as shown on PP admin page and you care correct, categories dirs don't create automatically.

well check to ensure your data directory matches your correct server path because if your not getting any error creating categories and your safe mode is off you need to ask your host why there server is not allowing proper operation.

Thank you, Chuck S.
This is an observation -
When I try to upload the photo into an assigned category, I received the error message and when I click to submit the photo, a 'no thumbnail' shows up.
see: TDS Layouts Gallery - Main Index
When I click on the 'no thumbnail' banner, I can see the photo that I have uploaded.
Does this observation help to locate where the error is?
The error only shows up when I try to place the photo into a category. I have no problem when I upload into the default member gallery.

Please read my posts above and this should assist you. http://www.thedailyscrapper.com/gallerylo/data/522
Your directories do not exist. Index of /gallerylo/data/514
where are the mini thumbs and medium directories beneath the actual cat id directory.
You need to get to the bottom of your issue based on my posts and determine why your data directories do not exist.
I dont know why there is a post by another username in this thread but at any rate the information posted here is correct.

These are the steps he needs to do.
1. Determine why categories do not create --ie is it a permissions thing or a path problem since he says safe mode is off.
2. clear the data directory of everything except the 1 2 and 500 directories. make sure it is 777 permissions.
3. Go to admin edit categories and delete the categories you created
4. Recreate your categories
See that they are actually created.
You should then be able to upload. Just an fyi the only reasons I know why a data directory would not be created is as I posted safe mode is on or your path/permissions are incorrect.

Hi Chuck S,
Ref: TDS Products Gallery - Main Index
I have set the gallery up to contain
Category and sub category.
The tech guy has managed to get the photos uploaded into the sub category.
However, in some of the sub-category, I have created another category (I call it sub-sub category for lack of word to describe it). I cannot upload photo into the sub-sub category. Is it possible in the first place to do that?
example of a sub-sub category:
For instance in the 'Grab Bag' I want to create another few categories like Dollar Grab Bag or CU Grab Bag and these categories won't allow me to add photos inside. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
Thanks.

If you have resolved the issue discussed earlier you should be able to upload into any category you create.
