| Latest comments page
Hi Chuck.
Is it possible to have a latest comments page where all the latest comments are posted on one page?
If this isn't possible would you suggest RSS for this and would you happen to know if anyone else has achieved this.... I can see plenty on the subject but little on help.
Appriciate your help. |

Oh... you're good!
Yes that the one!
Thanks again Chuck.
BTW we are porting our guess game. It was very, very successful on our last platform and brings in stacks of real traffic. Would we be able to donate this to the photopost community once it's ported?

you can post any mod as long as it does not contain our direct copyrighted code in the mod corner.

Yeah, I understand that. The module is in plugin state at the moment but should'nt use any codes from PP. Infact the plugin is standalone and simply reads (queries) the database and posts the results back to a leader board.
All that would be nessesary in PP would be to add a button beneath pictures in a particular category with a pull down to choose from out of the members who have guesed... that would award thier predefined points, and commit that to the leader board.
But to double check I'll post a copy to support to make sure that it's compliant.... I'm happy with that.
Regards,
Steff |

| Comments - PhotoPost Photo Gallery
The latest comments page is not cached in any manner so not sure what you mean by auto refresh. That page is always going to show the latest comments when you go to it.

Sorry I should have explained this in more detail. We are running a guess game that is still in development (see above). Some members leave the latest comments page open so that is any comments comes in from the gallery they can jump to that picture and comment.
At the moment members have to hit refresh on their browser to get the very latest comments.
So I'm either looking for a way to refresh the page server side or wondered if there was another solution.. perhaps rss or something.

Your table to load a headtags file or in whatever head tag place your loading why not use a meta refresh tag that refreshes a page after so many seconds Meta Refresh Tag |

Thanks Chuck, that is the advise I received from one of my senior members on our site.
OK if that's the way it has to be done... I'm happy with that.
Thanks for your help again Chuck |
