Categories Not Showing

When i click on "for sale" then next pages shows an option of which category your ad goes into, however, if you click on "wanted" or "trade" no categories show up...........

You actually need to do one of two things.

If your not using wanted etc categories then you need to under ad types turn those types off otherwise you need to create categories and assign them to those template types.

Been there done that................
Maybe i didnt make my self clear...
All the categories are done...
All the ad types are done....

Looks categories show up when you click on add type of FOR SALE
but does not for trade or wanted.

If you have trade which I assume is something you added because we dont have a trade and you have wanted active and you click that on upload and the next box is empty then you do not have categories defined to use that ad type. You either need to setup categories to use that type or turn that ad type off.

So based on what your error is you can not have been there done that.

How do i set up the categories to use that ad type?

Under Admin => Edit Categories => Template Type:

You select the template type for that category in the dropdown.

There is no template type or drop down , can you take a look, do you still have the information to look, you installed it.

No I would not have accesses. Your install could not have been that current dont remember the site but at any rate your site is messed up everywhere so you might want to check that out before you give us access. all I see is this

well I dont see anything wrong then what I have explained here

You had under edit ad types the wanted trade set to yes and under edit categories no categories setup to that type hense the empty second box when you try and select those types.

I merely turned them off and you could be fine

Now I am gonna say this again since it seems every page on your site is broke except the forum

Look at your portal your classifieds looks the same you have some code displayed and your page stops so nothing is every loaded so you have an issue you must solve with your vb.

Chuck are you using firefox? My site does not work with firefox!

Everything pulls up just fine with internet explorer, unless i am missing something...

I dont know what you did...but now when i clicl in "Place an Ad" it by passes the add type and goes straight to Step 2 ( categories )

I turned off the wanted and trade ad types because you have no categories setup to use that template type.

Like I said I can not see anything on your site. does not matter whether its classifieds or your portal some code is showing

Most likely some hack you have installed so as stated you need to look into that.

Yep you might want to uninstall any hack in vb that does that.
