detach from VB

I originally installed Photopost using the VB integration with users etc. Now I would like to detach from vBulletin and use photopost as a stand alone product.

I am using a stand alone mysql photopost database, it's just attached to the VB user base.

How do I break away from VB to let photopost operate by itself..steps etc.

Thanks in advance.

Well you would have to actually write some sort of import script to import the vbulletin user info into photopost before you could attempt to detach things. when you integrate with a forum the users are in the forum not photopost.

....any suggestions chuck ? I don't have very many users as I use photopost mainly to keep extended family updated on my family. I could easily start from scratch member wise, however I do need to keep the picture database intact.

I have no idea on how to "write" an import script.

My suggestion would be is check your photopost users table make sure your users are listed there. You may lose some user info but as long as the names and emails are in the photopost users table after you switch you can always have them reset there passwords

Clear the usergroups table and simply do a reinstall as a standalone into the same database and tables and it should update everything to be a standalone and not delete your present categories and photos.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Do I clear the "usergroups table" in the VB database or the photopost database ? prior to re-installing the photopost standalone ?
