Album password protection

Hi! My albums are the events that I shoot, and I want to protect them with a password. What I found in admin panel is just making album private, applying a password and gettting a link to send it to anybody. BUT in this case nobody can see the cover of the album. And I can't send the link to the particular album to all interested people (wedding is about 300 people). My idea is of a public album which will appear on my front page like recently added photos, and clients can easily recognize this event by picture descriptions BUt can access the photos only after entering the password. Really I can't understand how I can show the album to public but at the same time make access to that album password protected.

You can try making a category and password protecting the category. Albums and Categories are two separate things.

Hi Chuck Thanks for answer. I dont whant to protect ALL category. I need to password protect ONLY album from category And a cover of this password protected album shuld be visible. I know that category and album are two separate things. That's why I'm asking about how to protect ONLY album from any unprotected category. I hope it's poseble to do but I don't know how((((

What I am saying is try password protecting a single category.

To password protect an album you simply need the url and password

Its an automated thing.

You get a url like that with a password on the end.

Content visible to verified customers only.

Notice you cant see that album without adding that on the end. The one main difference in password protection between an album or category is in a category the admin can set the password to what he likes. In personal albums its all done for users automatically.
