| Exif Question
Hello,
I`m trying to get Exif-Datas shown.
If I rescan Database I get the following message for every picture: Warning: exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /www/htdocs/xxxxx/xxxxxx/xxxxx/image-inc.php on line 91
- checking for exif (none) done.
Line 91 in image-inc.php is: exec( $syscmd, $return, $retval );
No Exif-Datas are shown.
JHead is working, in ACP both "Extract and Show Exif" is ON.
If I download Pictures Exif Datas are existing.
What`s going wrong here ? Any Hints ?
Regards
Michael

disabling exec on the server means you can not use Imagemagick, jpegtran or jhead and thus can not process exif information.
You need to enable exec.

exec is enabled but things are still not working. Same warning at rescanning Database as before.
My Webhosters Statement:
"Please check that the Syntax is correct. Maybe theres one Attribute to much ore one is missing". exec( $syscmd, $return, $retval );
Because my Hoster (one of the best in Germany) is not supporting PhotoPost so I ask here again what to do.

If you still get the error below then exec has not been enabled Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Exif works now for new uploaded Photos.
Rescanning Database to show Exif of older Photos is not working.
No more Warnings, at rescanning everything looks fine and Exif-Datas should be extracted.
But they are not shown, no Camera-Symbol at older Photos which have for sure Exif-Datas.
Should I try to rebuild all Medium Images ?

well what photos do you think have exif?
I would think they actually do not have exif information.
