URL Change

I wanted to move Photopost and Classifieds to the root of the site.

Everything now is at

http://www.mysite.com/forum/Photopost
http://www.mysite.com/forum/Classifieds

move to

http://www.mysite.com/Photopost
http://www.mysite.com/Classifieds

Is there anything else I need to do or do I need to run some file to make this transition.

config-inc.php
config-int.php

config-inc.php
config-intc.php

I understand the two files in each that need to be edited, but should I run the upgrade script or something else as I have tried this and got blocked from admin log in with errors in the header.

I reverted back to the forums and everything worked

Hi chuck Im sorry to be such a pain, as you have been so helpful.

I read your Doc. but a little confused

I am not changing servers as I am only changing directory path to the forums and gallery.

I Guess I only need to modify those two files and check write access is correct as to what you linked me too suggests I am changing servers.

changing only directory path to forums and photopost

If you change the url directory you must follow the doc. You can not just change config files. You need to sign into admin and change all the options in global options save then you can change config files.

As that document states this is for changing directories or servers.

Ok I'm on this part as

7) Open your Photopost gallery and modify confgs.
- Using a web browser, open your gallery and enter the Admin console.
- Click on GLOBAL OPTIONS and change the following to your new path:
- Full SERVER PATH
- Full path to Header
- PATH to UPLOADS
- Directory to backups
- Save
- Click on WATERMARK OPTIONS
- Full server path to watermark image
- Save

I can log in too admin cp but everything I click on I get page not found

as I can't change anything in there, I also get this in the admin header

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I understand the code as I have to change global options but I get page not found when I click on it or anything.

I changed it back to the forums and uploaded the origanal two files and it works great again with no page not found

You do not change your config files till after you change the global paths

So change things back the way they where it was originally located and the configs they way they where.

access admin change the urls and paths and save

go to config files and modify accordingly

You can then access the photopost at the new url
