Documentation on Sidebar Settings?

Also, what is a PAL exactly (aside from a friend and a European television standard)?

No sorry there is no specific documentation on the sidebar. You would turn it on or off left or right and enable the specific pals you want to show up.

I do not know what pal actually means to tell you the truth its just an abbreviation I have heard from the start for little boxes with info like this.
