support for psd files

I notice that in some situations, I can get thumbnails for psd images. Are psd files supported as images, now that ImageMagick supports them? TIA.

psd files are not images. There is no viewable mime type to show a psd file. it is in essence a document.

Thanks for the quick support.

The reason I have a thumbnail for a psd is that I have a similarly named jpg file, and the thumbnail from the jpg is being used for the psd.

If I look in the thumbnails folder, I can see that resized psd thumbnail files are being created by ImageMagick, but they cannot be displayed. Maybe later today, time permitting, I'll see if ImageMagick can save jpg thumbnails for psd files, which would be useful for my customers.

yeah anything I see comes back to psd image is not a mime image type so the issue goes larger then just a thumbnail.

How about the actual psd image that is displayed when you click a thumbnail thats never going to view either.

A psd is essentially a zip of images one can edit in photoshop.

Yes, it is a bigger issue than just thumbnails.

My customers deal with very large images, so it would be useful to have jpg thumbnails and medium sized images for mm files that are supported by PhotoPost. The full size psd would still download as a multimedia file. I'll post here again if I'm able to make this happen as it might be a feature you would like to make available to other customers
