Some users can rate without comments other can't

For some reason which I can't work out, some people are able to rate without being forced to comment and other say "at least 5 charectors".

Its possibly based on user groups?

As Admin, I can't but a new users can. I haven't tested all user groups.

I would like everybody to be able to rate without comments.

Thanks

Are you using the quickrate or the comments box. I beleive if your using the comments box and using the vb3 integration you might be limited by vbulletin saying you have a minimum comment length based on the vb quickreply settings in vb.

I don't believe so.

We have no limit in vb for post length. As as I said it effects some users not others. I'm pretty sure its PP issue.

There is nothing within the Photopost code that restricts a comment to a certain length to my knowledge. The message you are getting seems to be a vbulletin message.

what is the full message and title of the box that says it?

Yes it is a vb thing and there is a setting in vb that you set what the mimimum word count is on a post.

However in vb options "Minimum Characters Per Post" is set to 1. Not 5. In vb options there is no "minimum" value set to 5.

As I can't but some users can, it must be user group based. However there is no usergroup option for minimum post number.
