Give Category Control to a Mod

I'd like to give a little more control to someone who is helping me work on my gallery.

They are a gallery Mod and that gives them extra control, however not control over Categories. Which is rather annoying because creating new categories is quite important when somebody is uploading lots of new pictures.

Is there some way of giving them that extra control without giving them full Admin control.

No sorry there is not. Our permissions structure is designed much like a forum and what your already use to. Administrators are the only one who can create categories/forums etc. Moderators moderate photos comments etc. Pretty much thats a universal attribute so you would need to alter code in adm-misc.php and adm-cats.php to allow such an action.
