Editing member.php

Not a huge fan of the separate PP user profiles, but they have their uses.

When you go to a user profile

Member Profile - Malcolm in the Middle Voting Community - Gallery

I don't have users editing or adding info into the "profile" section of the "profile".

I want the Profile link (in the menu on the left, I'm not talking about menubar)

I want the default display to be "Statistics" Member Profile - Malcolm in the Middle Voting Community - Gallery

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I can't find a templates files for changing this so I assume I need to edit member.php, but its very confusing an I have no idea what needs to be removed.

Basically in most files in photopost like showphoto showgallery showmembers pp-inc.php anywhere we define the member profile link you would need to add this to the end of the url. This is in several files

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Right, that makes sense.

But how do I remove the "Profile" link? and wouldn't it be easier to redefine "Statistics"?

(or even better make that Profile link go directly to their vb profile)
