Well I'm sure that was a reasonable direction to go back in the beginning but is it today? What you describe is a pretty rigid way doing things thus making the permissions not very granular. It would be nice to be able to add masks to individuals or similar to
VB have an admin and super admin. There's some things that are system administration functions and shouldn't be available to admins. It's a false assumption to think otherwise. you know, Purging old photos, messing with templates things like that. But that requires you guys to change the code and not me (thus upgrading the product for the better) so I guess I'll just ahve to make them admins.
Of course if there was a reasonable hooks system then you'd have a thriving third-party community that could add tons of customization that you wouldn't have to support. :wink:
