| Subscriptions.. how it works?
After reading for 2 hours and still not clear on how it works.. I thought I would ask how does it work?
I have set up usergroups and also subscriptions that apply to those usergroups.
But I am not clear on ..
Is there a place where they can find a subscription button?
Does it get emailed directly to the person?
Does it automatically push to paypal from the gallery?
If someone could provide me with a link to look into it that would be great. was thinking I would like to use the feature rather then run through everything manually.
Thank you!
Chris

Users find subscriptions link in there photopost profile.
If they purchase a subscription you setup they are pushed to paypal to pay and upon completion will be bumped into the new usergroup and have whatever extra permissions etc you assigned to this higher usergroup.

You could also put a subscriptions link on your photopost menubar like so by adding this to your pp-inc.php file where noted. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Okay I went in and tinkered and got it setup. And am realizing that to the right where it says Order. There is nothing to select when I login as a regular user. I am thinking I must be missing somewere to turn on subscriptions. They are all listed as Active when I login to each at list subscriptions in the admin.
After hunting for a while I decided to ask again. Thank you!

Yep. Can't figure it out. For some reason there are no order here or payment buttons. I attached a screenshot I looked for a while, but wanted to say I can't seem to figure it out after all. I am sure it is an easy fix. If you have an idea, please let me know.
have a wonderful day!

The subscriptions template line should say this Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

| I am having the same issue. Nothing under the "ORDER" column on the Profile page.
Could you please explain where do I put the above line? Is this a new line to be added, or is this line to replace another line? I replaced a line that is very similar, but still does not work for me.
Thanks!

I replaced it, still no showing...
However, I'd like to ask this question:
User signed up for 1000MB space. And he used up all 1000MB space, and cancel the subscription. Now he is back to regular user with only 10MB space. What does the system do with his 1000MB photos? Does the system delete the photos down to 10MB, or does the system provides admin a tool to check any user with space consumption over the group quota, and an option to delete their photos?
Thanks!

The word order is most definately in the gallery language file and if the line is what I posted it will show. Maybe your not editing the correct template set?
The system does nothing with his photos!!
If his allowcation of space is used up he simply cant upload anything else to your site.

Thanks Chuck. It'll be great if PhotoPost provides admin a function to find users with over allocation usage, and enable the admin to delete his photos to be below the quota. Some thing like this:
1. Menu: Find user with space usage over its usergroup quota.
2. Menu, with the above found x number of users, Delete user's most recent photos to bring his usage below his usergroup's space limit.
3. Warning:
You are deleting x number of photos of user A, xKB in total to bring the quota to be under 10MB
You are deleting y number of photos of user B, yKB in total to bring the quota to be under 10MB.
Something like this will work beautifully for Admin so that you don't end up with huge amount of space in lost revenue.
Is this something easy to implement?

Not something I have ever thought to do. So I have no way to really answer how hard it is to implement
Most likely if done right it would take a good amount of work to define the checks and balances.
There is nothing in the program that breaks down administrative functions per user photos just simply does not exist.

PhotoPost is widely recognized the most powerful photo sharing system available on the market. I think a lot of people use it for profit. If this function is not there, how can they effectively manage their server space consumption? Their server space will be eaten up quickly with this "lost" space....
Please consider to add this function to your next release. We had discussed this a few years ago.
Thanks for listening.
