Giving individuals customized gallery settings?

Hi Chuck and all,

I'm just wondering if there's a way to give an individual user their own settings?

For example:

Can I give UserJoe his own space and limitations and allowances for posting images, without having to create a whole new usergroup in which just to place him?

Thanks!
Ted

You can not do that without giving him his own usergroup where you can assign usergroup permissions as you wish

Thanks for answring, Chuck!

I feared that was the case.

If so, can I give him a PhotoPro usergroup that is SEPARATE from the vBulletin usergroup?

I ask because my vBulletin has "Ranks" and with each rank comes a graphic.

I'd want him on the forum to be "Jr. Member" still...while his PhotoPro usergroup was different.

Does that make sense?

Ted no you cant sorry.

Photopost works just like vbulletin. it is all based on usergroup permissions not individual user permissions.

I totally understand what you're saying.

I guess what I was asking is... could a user have a "Usergroup" as "Member" in Photopost Pro and a Usergroup of "Senior Member" in vBulletin? Or does each vBulletin usergroup transfer over to photopost pro?

I could've sworn I saw an option in the Photopost admin CP that allowed me to "not use vBulletin's usergroups"...

The usergroup has to be the same as in vbulletin because thats where the user is actually stored and his usergroup recieved from his vb user record.
