Another lost photos thread

I just had my server host change the domain to be the main domain, which meant the gallery had to be moved to the main folder. All went well with everything else, the store, the forum, blog, chat but not the gallery. I changed the path in the configuration just like the others but it did not want to work right. (server path home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/gallery)

I also get this error message in the admin:

Warning: opendir(/home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/digiscrapstation/gallery/data/) [function.opendir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/catstati/public_html/gallery/adm-inc.php on line 639

Warning: readdir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/gallery/adm-inc.php on line 642

Warning: closedir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/xxxxxxxx/public_html/gallery/adm-inc.php on line 659

Then, perhaps my big error, I did the scan database thing. NOW there are no photos showing in the gallery. But, the comments are all there. I looked on the server and the data folder is where it is supposed to be and all those photos are there in that folder. But, they are not showing up in my gallery. I checked for the backup--and worse luck there--the wrong database was backed up, so I do not have a current back up of the database.

Is there any hope?

The sticky in this thread explains how to move servers. Your photos where deleted because the paths had not been changed so your photos could not be found

How to Move Servers and/or Change Directories

You need to restore a backup of your database and then update your urls and paths.

OK
I moved the files the files to the new location, just up a folder

I checked the permissions that all was set correctly after the move

I did not move servers so I did not create a new database

The main config files have been changed to reflect the move

I opened Global and made the right changes there

Storage Options--where are those located could not find them mentioned anywhere in the admin--but in the Global Options all paths have been corrected to reflect the change

Checked the config it is correct

BUT as I mentioned the back up of the database is not the right one, it is a test gallery that was on the server and deleted so now I do not have a current backup. Before I go with an older backup, (from February--ouch!) I am asking is there something else to do to connect these photos on the server with the gallery?

The storage options are on the left menu ALL THE WAY TOWARDS THE BOTTOM.

finally found them but it did no good. My photo count is still 0! even after fixing the storage options.

I checked my database and the photo table is empty, there is no way to fill that without using a db back up. At least that is what I see here in the forum.

To get a back up of just the one table I need, I am uploading my Feb backup to a new, empty Database and then I will only back up that ONE table. Then will import to the current PP database. I don't know any other way to get just that one table out of the backup of the whole database.

Will this screw my Gallery up? to just upload the one table into the DB?

As I previously posted you need to restore a backup of your database. That will restore the photos then you would correct your paths
