You would need to assign a user as a moderator by changing them to the moderators usergroup and making sure moderators have moderator permissions under admin edit usergroups.

Hi Chuck,
I need your help here. With our old phpBB integration, I remember that the moderator I added to one of the PhotoPost category was able to edit, move or delete photos, but with the VB integration, my moderator now only has a MOD Access to BULK APPROVE photos, but they cannot edit the photos or move the photos at all.
What do I need to do to empower them to be able to Edit, Delete and Move the photos in the Category that they moderate? Quote:

I already given the Moderator group the MOD access, but the MOD access does not enable them to EDIT/DELETE/MOVE.
Thanks!

From what I see if they are a moderator they should be able to. Have you given moderators global permissions in admin options? If not you need to assign a moderator to a category. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Where do you give the Moderators the global permission? In vB forum or Photopost admin?

Hello this is all in photopost admin. global mod permission switch is in admin options
The user simply has to be in a moderators group which you assign mod permissions to. You then either give mods global permissions or assign specific mods to categories in admin area of photopost.

I made the change, and it was not exactly what we wanted. We want the moderator able to BULK MOVE.. The admin menu.
Give the global DELETE/EDIT option to EVERY PHOTO to a moderator is too risky... This is a better way:
Allow EDIT/DELETE/BULK MOVE only to the category assigned to that moderator. Not all categories.. Is this possible?

As stated if you want to assign specific moderators and not globally then you can assign specific moderators to each category you wish under admin edit categories.

Chuck,
This maybe a bug.
I did assign add that person as a moderator to a specific category, but that person was not able to edit any photo in that category - the drop down photo option menu does not have the edit link. Could you please check?
Thanks!

I have tested this
If I set moderators group under edit usergroups to have mod access then go to admin options set global mod permissions to no and then go to edit categories assign a user to be a mod for a category if I log in as that user I see an admin link on our menubar and when viewing a photo in the category I am a mod in I see the edit link and can move or delete a photo fine.

I am sorry, but I don't understand it at all.
1) I put in a Moderator in all categories
2) Also I gave global Mod rights at Admin Options
3) In "Edit Usergroups" the usergroup have all acces, except Admin acess
But the Moderator cannot delete pictures.
If the Mod go on Photo Options he see "Edit Photo"
In the next sreen he can only change the categorie. He is not able to delete the photo.
What do I wrong?

The code is very specific Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
something is off in your setup of this.
You can send us through the contact link an admin login the mod login and url

I am not really sure, but I think all was okay, before I used the import script for the VBG.
I will send the access.

Not a problem but you need to reset moderator stuff after an import as things are different from vbgallery.

What do you mean with "reset moderator stuff"?
After importing I rescan the database and saved all categories as you has decribed.
And also if put in a new moderator - after importing - he isn't able to delete picture.
But... I get the checkbox "delete photo" back for moderators, if I set in the admin options "Allow users to delete their own images?" to yes.
If I set it to no the mods cannot delete pictues.
I want not allow users to delete their pictures. But mods should have the possibility.

What I am saying is this user or something in the way you set up the admin settings is incorrect.
Here is the template code Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
We are talking about how you setup moderators here but the guy is able to edit someones photo so lets take this from the other side of the coin. Do you have set in admin options in admin panel that users can delete there photos?

Okay, I think I understand.
I have to enable in admin option "allow users to delete pictures" to yes
And if I want not, that users delete pictures, I have it made through the usergroups.
Correct?

If the guy is able to edit someone elses photo then he is a mod I would think
You can try a small edit to the editphoto template on the userdel line like this to make it show for mods Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
