| Photopost Pro and vBulletin Profiles?
I'm running Photopost Pro integrated with vBulletin and using vB for user registration. In vB, there is a user CP where they can enter "profile" information. When they go to the Gallery, the Gallery nav bar also has a "profile" link.
How are these two "profiles" related? (They appear to be different.)
Is the Gallery profile needed if users register through vB? If not, is there an option someplace to not show it in the gallery nav bar?
Thanks,

The profiles are separate. The gallery profile can not be turned off. You would need to remove the profile link on the navbar through some code edit. You can find the link in pp-inc.php in the topmenu function. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

But previously these have been connected? Profile in Photopost leads you to Vbulletin, which seesm logical.
Why isnt that so now?

It is not that way because the photopost profile is separate where users can administrate all their gallery things like subscriptions etc etc. Remember even though they are integrated meaning header footer stylesheet these are still two separate applications in their own respective directories and they do not interact.

No they where not. The profiles for each system have always been separate. I think in way earlier versions there was no photopost profile.

I understand if PhotoPost is used as a stand-alone application all features are needed, but inside vBulletin those features become obsolete. At least an option to turn them off in admin CP would be nice. Thank you.

That all depends on how one looks at it really. Photopost pro is every bit as good a product as vbulletin and a full featured product like vbulletin. It is not an addon to vbulletin. vbulletin just happens to be one of the forums we support integration with.

Sorry can't agree with that. vbGallery back in the day was that, but Photopost is far from being anywhere near the level of application that vBulletin (or even it's competitors) is. It's a shame though you stiffled the creativity of vbGallery and I believe have since dropped development for.

That would be an incorrect assumption on your part based on the truth of the matter.
How have we dropped development for vbGallery? The facts are quite the opposite. We recieved vbgallery when it was only compatible with vbulletin 3.0 version 1.01 and it was a very new product with lots of bug reports that where never fixed for like 6 months. We have since updated and fixed bugs added new features and released many versions compatible with vbulletin 3.5,3.6,3.7 and 3.8.
I think the record of the facts speaks for itself in this matter.
