Would I be able to use photopost in an iframe?

Would the lightbox work with the entire page, or just within the iframe? Could it be made to work with the entire page if the photopost app was contained in an iframe?

Photopost works within an iframe. As far as lightbox thats a java script that loads a popup window which is independent of any frames.

That doesn't answer the question, but nevermind.

The correct answer is NO.... the lightbox does not work with the entire page... it only works within the iframe. Yes the window still pops up but only the background of the iframe dims, not the entire page.

The question was: :
"Would the lightbox work with the entire page, or just within the iframe?"

You may have answered the question, but not correctly. The lightbox javascript will only work within the iframe and not the entire page that contains the iframe. When a photo is displayed using the lightbox function within an iframe, only the background of the iframe is dimmed. The main page background remains unchanged.

Example: Lightbox Iframe Test - MajorLeagueTalk.com

Lightbox is not in a frame. Thats a java popup window and pops up in front of everything.

Chuck,

When the application using the lightbox javascript is contained in an iframe on a parent page, it doesn't work normally. The window may pop up in front of everything, but that 'everything' does not fade to black like it would normally. If you visit the link I posted to the site where I use my existing photopost license, you would see what I mean.

I have a new application for photopost on a different site, but I would need to place the photo gallery in an iframe on a parent page. Clearly that does not produce the desired result when using lightbox integration.

I did some more digging and I found lytebox, which addresses this very problem. Lytebox - Home

Here's what they say about lytebox on that page:

iFrames: If you plan to use Lytebox in an iFrame environment, then you need to include lytebox.css in the parent document, while including lytebox.js in the iFrame document.

Before I bought a second photopost license, I was just hoping to get some insight as to whether or not photopost using the lightbox integration, could be made to behave properly.

Chuck, I just broke down and renewed my member access for Photopost Support. You can move this thread to a more appropriate forum if you like and I'll catch up with it once the renewal kicks in.

Wow.... this turned into a $40 question I'm at 6.02 so I needed to upgrade anyway.

You can try similarly what they suggest. For support on lightbox you can visit this page about there scripting. Yes you would want to upgrade if your at 6.02

Lightbox JS

You can't just link to the css on the parent page. The javascript has to be modified too.

On another note, how long should it take for me to show up as a verified member?
