| How do I make Gallery Comments require Validation?
When I upgraded from 6.11 to 6.2, it seems the comments are now being approved automatically, instead of making a moderator validate them.
How do I change it back to make comments have to be validated?

Moderation is set as it has been by setting Require Moderation to Yes under Admin => Edit Usergroups for each usergroup you need.

i only want to moderate comments, not photos.
isn't there an option to choose one or the other?
there was before 6.2, what happened? did you merge them or something?

skidpics, are you saying that you can only choose to moderate photos and comments together or not at all?
there is no more letting photos upload without validating, but making comments validatable?
please confirm this.
if so, when did this change take place?
sounds like even more moving backwards for photopost, again.

Yes moderation in edit usergroups means both the groups post and photos are moderated. Moderation is not separated.

this sucks.
every time i pay more money to upgrade this software, i get more problems and less features.
now i have to go back to validating photos and comments again, with 10,000 unique visitors a day, you are adding another employee to my staff again, thanks photopost for costing me more and more money and headaches every single day.
hopefully vbulletin will get their photo gallery together soon so i can remove this software once and for all.

Rob this has always been the case. It has never changed Moderation has always been a switch per usergroup and is images and comments. Nothing was changed in Photopost Pro. We add features we dont take away.

for the last year or more, my staff have been validating photo comments, while the members were able to upload photos without validation... they didn't stop validating them until around the time that we upgraded from 6.11 to 6.2...
it just doesn't make any sense at all...

Rob I can just tell you the setting has not changed. Moderation has been the same and not changed.
