How to change or remove stuff in titles?

Hello i would like to know in what templates i need to work to change or remove stuff, like for example i would like to remove the "Main Index" in gallery main page, in category name i would like to remove the gallery title, and in showpost.php the same i don't want the gallery name, i think this can help in a better SEO.

Well the title is always going to show a site name but if you dont want a site name just clear your site name in global options first listing there in admin global options.

As far as Main Index just edit the english.php file in the languages subdirectory of the gallery and remove MAIN INDEX from beneath the quotes so that string is empty.

Thanks Chuck have done, but i have a little problem, i have removed the name in global option, and i have chaged the Main Site with the new title, the problem is that in the end of the title i have " - " how can i remove it?

You would need to actually edit the printheader function in pp-inc.php then to acheive that
