Show gallery cuts titles at 20 characters?

I can't recall ever messing with such a setting or code, but on the gallery index and show gallery pages all photo titles longer than 20 characters are being cut off? Please check this out:

Is this normal behavior or did I miss something?

This is normal behavior so that long titles do not mess up the display.

Thanks for pointing that out, somehow I hadn't noticed that before and just caught my attention.

While on this topic, is there an easy way to remove the photo categories from each photo. I refer to the ones displayed below between braces "[ Member Galleries ]".

remove the $pcatname variable from the feature template.
