Unhappy Upgraded to 6.2, but made a big mistake..

Hi.

I need some help reclaiming deleted images in Photopost 6.2
I successfully upgraded from 4.8, but was a bit to triggerhappy (and tired.. it's 1:50 AM here..) when I was supposed to regenerate my thumbnails. Unfortunately I didn't backup the database after successfully upgrading it . So when I clicked scan database all my photos where deleted... As far I can see, it is only a database link that has been deleted, but I gather that this can be tricky enough..? Is it possible to use the information in the 4.8 version to create an insert script?

Best regards,
Anouar El Mourabit

The only way to restore things is to restore a backup of the database photos table before the upgrade and run the upgrade again once.

Other than that you would need to reupload all photos.

Do you mean that I can drop the existing photos table in the upgraded database, insert the original, and then upgrade? Is it possible to run a modified version of the upgrade script that just upgrades the old 4.8 table to 6.2?

Regards,
Anouar

You need to drop the photos table restore a backup of the 4.8 photos table and then run the upgrade.

That is the only way to get photos back. I am assuming here you ran the 485 upgrade more than once which is why your photos where deleted.

You're right about the 485 upgrade. It seemed to stop up...
But what upgrade version should I use since all the other tables are 6.2?

You still need to go through the 4.8 forward upgrades once after restoring the table.

Hi Chuck!

It worked like a charm . I'm in the process of translating the swedish languagepack to norwegian. Do you want a copy when I'm finished?

I also have another question. I want to use a picture background which is similar to the one at : Scrapbooking og Kortlaging • Hovedside in the gallery.
Is there a quick way to fix it? I'm not particularly good with stylesheet editing..

Thanx again for great support!

Best regards
Anouar

Sure just post it in the languages forum here

http://www.photopost.com/forum/photopost-pro-languages/

If your talking about a background image on the body you do that like this in the stylesheet

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
would become something like this with your image url

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
