Editing in webcontrol panel

Greetings all, I hope someone can help me out of a mess I myself caused for myself....

Prior to making this change, the home on my photo gallery gave me a page error message...so I changed the photopost url to an incorrect url adding index.php on the end. I am not sure how to fix this, because I am now unable to logon to my admin panel even though I renewed my license, in early December..

I contacted support who kindly told me "The only way to fix this would be to reinstall or manually edit the settings table in a database viewer via your webcontrol panel like phpmyadmin and fix the url removing index.php off the end of the maindir setting"

I cannot get into my admin panel via the gallery,,,is there another way to access it? If only I can get TO it, I think I can make the appropriate modifications...fingers crossed.

I welcome any comments suggestions or even hints.

Hello as they have suggested through email you may rerun the install script and reinstall into the current database tables specifying the correct info and it will fix your issue and not delete any old info. Otherwise the only way to correct the issue is to manually alter that setting in the database.
