another upload error

got all premissions set, using IM, safe mode off, fresh install, and get this:

Warning: move_uploaded_file(/home/anders/public_html/uploads/1/b_ten.jpg) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/anders/public_html/image-inc.php on line 56

Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: Unable to move '/tmp/phpZONTcB' to '/home/anders/public_html/uploads/1/b_ten.jpg' in /home/anders/public_html/image-inc.php on line 56

and this:
Unable to move file [/tmp/phpZONTcB] -> [/home/anders/public_html/uploads/1/b_ten.jpg]

any ideas?

yes your data and uploads directories at every level must be set to 777 permissions

That error tells me the 1 directory under uploads is not set to 777 permissions.

If the permissions and path are correct then safe mode is on. You have verified all things? safe mode permissions and that the server path is correct?

its pretty much an absolute error there saying we do not have permission to copy the file from the server tmp space to that directory.
