| What do I need to do to fix a problem with wrong links?
We have photos that [at one time] worked but no longer (for whatever reason).
For example:
The original working link:
[site removed]/gallery/watermark.php?file=526/medium/1as-monsterfish-x.jpg
which now links to:
[site removed]/gallery/watermark.php?file=526
(ignoring anything past 526)
but should actually display an image of:
[site removed]/gallery/data/526/medium/1as-monsterfish-x.jpg

we would have to see true links to your gallery etc to comment. If your using on the fly watermarking your watermark could be wrong which will make a photo not show. If you turn off the option to use watermark.php to serve your images do they show?

There aren't any images that do not show up. Disabling watermarks doesn't change the images. The situation for this site is the same as the previous times; for example this thread.

Thats a whole different issue that has nothing to do with images not showing. That is something about blank pages.
I need to see your gallery if you want me to comment and provide support
If all images show up then what exactly are you trying to report? I cant see the showphoto page without a login but your gallery if its the one linked to this email looks totally fine to me.

The thread in reference wasn't shown for its content of issue; the thread was referenced for the inablitily to release the site's name, of which I now have permission to use for support. The gallery linked to my email address has no issues. The site in question is monsterfishkeepers.com
You already have login information provided from the last time you worked on looking at the issue, however, if that information is no longer present, I can email you the information again.

You would need to email the admin login and explicitly what the issue is. Your thread before is not really telling me what your issue is. The watermark link is what the watermark link is in our program and as long as the photo shows in photopost I am not really sure what your trying to report there.

Christian okay your not talking about anything specifically in our program which is why you had me a little stumped there.
Your possibly stating some type of link that worked 3 years ago before the image protection system etc. The links only work to display a photo in photopost. The file parameter is an INT only. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/ga...k.php?file=526
To display images in posts you need to use most likely UBBCODE.

I know you keep calling me Christian, but my name is David. If I could change my username, I would.
So basically what you are saying is that some x number of hundreds or thousands of links have to be manually edited to a UBBCODE link because photopost changed, even though they once worked correctly? I am wanting to know exactly so I can tell the site owner.

We can only control what is within our program. We only released ubbcode links to use in our software on a forum which basically surrounded the true link to our files with img tags around it.
Your talking about script file link and scripts do change so if the site owner used script links in places outside our program sure he would need to change those links.

Can we downgrade to a previous version where this worked before?

I am not sure how you would do that as we dont store old code nor would you want to if you had a version many years old with all the bug fixes etc that have taken place.

What do other customers of PhotoPost do when they've lost their links because of updates like this?

I can not say it is nothing we can control about placing links outside of our program. The true links to images have not changed in along time as in the file structure. Your issue is your using script links not actual filelinks.
