Unhappy Need help getting photos back

Not sure what is going on with my site. Only 6 or 7 of my total membership are able to get into my vbulletin site at the present time. There's some technical error that happened at my webhost's datacenter. Fix for that in progress.

At some point they migrated my server & I had script errors on the main photopost page & the admin panel pages. Tech support has dinked around putting the gallery back to where I can see it but I can't access any photos, all thumbnails are gone, etc. Now, all my member galleries are gone (4319 photos) ... no albums show up, etc.

I need help putting humpty dumpty back together again. The photos still exist but aren't linked anywhere.

Where do I start?

I would need to see a link to this gallery to suggest any resolution.

How to Move Servers and/or Change Directories

Do you have site backups of the database?

I have an sql dump ... but they've moved migrated my IP & all the photos are still in the directories. Not sure things will all match up now.

They still haven't resolved the fact that 98% of my members can't get into the site. The trace routes are timing out at their datacenter.

So, I wonder if the photopost just can't find them? right now?

Ohhhhhh, I'm so confused. They've made one huge mess.

No one can get to your site so I do not know what gallery issues you have at present

pets-n-people.net

Once people can get to your site to see it I could actually advise you what you need to fix but once the site is up the thread I linked shows all the steps needed to actually move a photopost site to another server.

Thanks Chuck. I can get in to my site (only a few of us though). It is unlikely that I'll have any more info tonight. Will likely be back tomorrow to check in with you again.

Chuck, I finally got word what the problem is. They migrated me to a bad IP address. Now, they're migrating me again. Argh!

So, they told me as of 10am Central time ... 6 to 24 hours. What a mess they've made for me. Not sure why they migrated me the first time either. I'm not moving my site. Until things ran amuck, it was a perfectlly normal day in paradise.

Will be back with you when it is all over. Thanks for looking out for me.

OK, Chuck ... I'm back with a fully-migrated IP ... wanna take a look & tell me what's next? As I suspected, the photos didn't magically reappear. The made a mess of things.

Message - My Photo Gallery

I would suggest you sign in as admin and check out all the paths etc noted in post 2 with that how to move servers link.

I can not see your gallery but can 100% guarantee your server paths are not correct in Photopost for the new server and you need to change all those in global and storage options.

My server hasn't changed. The changed my IP to a bad IP (still have no idea why) and have now changed me to a dedicated IP.

Sorry, I'm confused.

well as I stated I can not see your gallery so I can not offer any advise but if your photo links are broken I would easily think your server paths have changed.

I'm trying to work with the guy at my webhost who has been helping me but he won't be in for another 4 hours. Not sure why the script error is showing up on the main page again. What a mess. Thanks ... back to bug you later. Sorry.

The path to the forum is incorrect on the $vbpath line in config-int.php.

As noted your server paths on alot of things are wrong.

Your photo paths changed you ran scan database and since the path was not correct it deleted all the photo entries.

You need to make sure in the global and storage options in admin the paths are correct and then restore a backup of the photopost pp_photos table.
