Post Turkish Charecter Problem

Code:

I've copied English language file and renamed it to Turkish and i've translated most of the phrases in that file. But there is a problem with this language file. I can not use any Turkish characters such as : ö, ğ, ç, ü, ş, ı

What do i have to do to solve this problem ?

Regards

what do you mean you can not use characters like that?

That is a php file and as long as you enter the correct phrases you should be fine. Look at our russian and arabic language files as a guideline. They are all special characters.

What i mean is, when i enter Turkish characters, photopost display them different. Even in admin panel. Whenever i enter the category title in Turkish, 2nd time i try to edit the settings of the category, the category title disappear. I dont know why.

Original : Kullanıcı Adınız
Photopost display that : Kullan?c? Ad?n?z

and many other examples...

I thought that changing the charset to iso-8859-9 will solve the problem. But did not...

Where do i have to change the charset settings ? Isn't it enough to change just the language file as shown below ?

What happens if you use UTF-8 as the charset?

You can try in adm-cats.php this line

Code:

change it to this and try editing a cat?

So i guess i will not be able to solve the problem with Turkish charset...

I still have serious problems with Turkish letters in my admin panel and also user front page.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Above codes are belong to my Turkish.php language file. Anything wrong with that ?

What else do i have to change, to view my website with correct Turkish characters. Why is it so diffucult to do that kind of small/simple customizing ? I thought that just editing the charset=ISO-8859-9 will solve the problem. But it did not.

I have the same charset problem in my Admin panel too. I view all Turkish characters as "?" in my Admin CP (categorie names).

I will appreciate it a lot if someone help me with this problem.

Regards

Try setting your charset to UTF-8

I do not see any response to any of the suggestions given by me

Turkish Charecter Problem

That should surely solve the issue
