Post Thumb Quality

How can i increase the quality of the thumbs which shown in filmstrip.

You can see the example below :
DW Gallery - Free Image Hosting - The Love Guru (2008)

The thumbs are very blurry as you can see through the above page.

I'm not sure if the "Quality setting for resizing/thumbnails?" option is the right one but even i've changed it to "100" and rebuilt all the thumbnails, the quality did not change.

I want it sharper. At least as on the original picture.

Regards

Are you sure you have selected the correct GD version in the admin global options as your processor?

Looks to me either like your selecting the wrong GD version or your image processor is not working correctly.

I use ImageMagick for thumbnails with uniform option.
So i want all the thumbnails with same size but sharpen then the current quality.
When i change it to GD2, the thumbnails are in different sizes.
Isnt it possible to use imagemagick but with better quality thumbnails ?

You say that its not working correctly. So then what do i have to do ?

If you turn off the uniform feature and use Imagemagick are they clear. it could be a simple issue that your version of Imagemagick does not like the uniform thing. That is why all our options have on off switches.

Yes. When i turn off the uniform option, thumb is much clear.
So what do you advise me ? If the problem comes from the version of ImageMagick, do i have to contact my hosting company ? (Lunarpages) or is there any other choice to solve this problem ?

I do not see any other choice provided your settings are correct.

Use Uniform Thumbnails?
Can only be used when using IM for imaging.
Uniform thumbnail height?

Uniform thumbnail width

These are all options and they depend on if your Imagemagick supports them. if it does not you need to turn it off.

I've contacted my hosting company for the uniform problem and informed that, this problem may come from due to version of imagemagick.

And now they ask me as : "Are you able to advise as to what version of imagemagick the script requires for further review?"

I've checked the product details and hardware/software requirements but couldnt find any info about version of imagemagick.
