Disabling uploads to galleries while still allowing album assignment
 

Is there a way to allow users to assign their user albums to a category while still preventing them from uploading photos directly into said category? If I disable uploading into a category, users can no longer assign any of their albums to it.

No sorry you can not a category must be uploadable to have albums assigned to it.
