Allowing users to upload into other users' albums?

Sorry if this has been answered. I tried searching, but my terms are too broad to find anything useful

The title pretty much summed it up. Is there a way to allow users to upload into other users' albums?

I'm hoping to start a little "Photo Scavenger Hunt" site, wherein users could post images that they need other images of. So say, for example, you need a diagram of a car engine, and you found one that's close, but not quite it. As a user, you could create a new user album ("Car Engine Diagram") and upload into it the photo you have and a brief description of what you're looking for. Then, other users could upload into that same gallery images they found that might fit the bill.

After tinkering with permissions and manuals for hours, I finally have everything more or less set up except for that last bit - allowing other users to upload into a user's album.

Is there any way to allow it in the control panel or, failing that, are there any mods out there that'll let me do this?

Personal albums work just as it sounds they are albums only that user can upload to so sorry but the answer to this is negative here. There is just no way to allow this.

Dang. I was hoping there was a mod out there someone knew of that allowed this.

Failing there, is there any way for user-created albums that other users can upload into? Even if they're not personal albums?

User created albums are personal albums. Only an admin can create categories and those users can upload to.

Yeah. I was hoping there was a mod or something that allowed the creation of non-personal, user-created albums. Oh well. I'll just have to find another way to skin this cat.
