Angry Your Post or Edit Was Successful - takes too long

How can I reduce the amount of time that users have to stare at the Your Post or Edit Was Successful link after they (1) upload photos and (2) comment upon photos.

Too much time waiting (and this takes too long) will deter users from using a feature.

Server limitations can affect this for sure. Normally one can expect the forward to take 3-10 seconds.
