Just upgraded to 6.2, showphoto question

Hey all,

I just upgraded from 6.1 to 6.2 and have a question about showphoto.

I would like to try and make it work like previous versions did.

We would have 2 code boxes below the photo.

I would like one for direct link and one for ubb code.

We dont have a need for the medium images at all. I would just like the actual photo that was uploaded to be displayed with the options mentioned above.

How can I do this?

Also, the clipboard buttons should show up only when using internet explorer from what I read on other threads here. Well I'm using IE and they dont show up. How do I turn them on?

clipboard buttons have not been apart of things for quite some time

You can turn off what options you do not wish in admin like html direct ubb etc under showphoto options to only show the ones you wish.

Hey Chuck,

I guess I'm not communicating it to you properly.

I don't want to have to have the user click the photo to make it larger. I want the full size image to display on the showphoto page with direct link and ubb code boxes.

Also, I do not see an option in admin show photo to turn off linked thumbnail, medium image, or linked medium.

linked thumbnail medium etc are all ubbcode you need to turn off ubbcode then.

if you do not want a medium image then under upload options set medium to 0 and then you can upload a photo to see if thats what you want.

I dont really want to turn off UBB code I don't think. I need the code that the users can paste on the vb forum to have a pic show up. This is UBB code correct?

I just don't need it in mutiple sizes. I just want one box with forum ubb code for to display the actual pic that was uploaded to the gallery. No resizing or anything.

Just like it did in previous versions.

I set the medium image height and width to 0. Now when I upload a photo, it shows the actual photo just like I want, but now I have to UBB code box. How do I get to show?

I have it set to YES on the upload photo option.

well ubbcode has always been linked to a medium image it has never shown large images and is not designed to.

The linked medium is the ubbcode. It is the one surrounded by the img tags. You could theoretically edit out the ones you do not want to display like thumbnail in the showphoto template.

Code:

Well I do have one forum with an older version of photopost installed and it does exactly what I am looking for. Ever since I upgraded my other site with photopost, this functionality no longer seems to exist.

You can see exactly what I am trying to do here:

Get Bent Florida Gallery - Jeremy's First Spec Trout! - Powered by PhotoPost

Just one photo with 2 code boxes below it. No resizing or anything.

Will the code change you mentioned above to the show photo template accomplish this?

wow quite an old version of the software. I guess you could try comparing the showphoto php and template files to see differences.

You can also post in the mod forums where users can discuss code modifications.

I know in showphoto.php you can look at this code and alter it see how we pull the medium file

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

I want something similar to what this user wants, and I can see his frustration with your responses.

What I want under photos is only a link to the UBB code medium image. This is so that users can copy this code and then paste it into vB to have a photo show up in their post.

I beleive I already posted in another thread on what you wish I beleive.

Do realize we support our product as written. Our support technicians do not assist or post code modifications to the application.

Hey Chuck,

I guess I'm a little confused on how to do this. When running the latest build of 6.2, what code change is necessary to make the BB code always show up for the image that was uploaded. I do not need medium images.

This worked perfectly in previous builds, then I paid for the upgrade and all the sudden it was changed. We would be willing to pay again if necessary to get this functionality back.

My forum users have been using it like this for years and now it's gone.

I hope you can give me a hand. I would really appreciate it.

I have other forums that need to be upgraded as well but no point in paying for them if they too will loose this feature.

My last post explains we do not assist with code modification.

I am sure why you say it worked in previous versions as it has always just displayed the medium in the last couple versions over the past couple years that I am aware of but you are definately free to discuss code modifications in THE MOD CORNER.
