| Forum / Photopost Gallery Navigation
I have three sections of this website.
1) Index
2) Forum
3) Photopost Gallery
I would like for it to have at the top of both the forum / photopost gallery sections to link back and forth to one another.
So basically, how do I make it so that the user can navigate back and forth to and from the phpbb3 forum and photopost gallery?
Thank you

You would have to place a link in the header or navbars of the applications. In Photopost you can go to admin and place a link in your header under edit header or under the menubar template in edit templates
Now phpbb3 you might want to ask them how to do that as I do not run that forum so I am not familiar with that but I think you need to edit their overall_header.tpl template in the styles directory for your particular style and add a link. At least thats my recollection on that forum but their support site would have more info.

I tried it different times, but the link I add there down not show correctly. For instance, if I add Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
to the menubar template (photopost is under www.site.com/foto/) I will have as result this links for Blog and Forum: http:/www.site.com/foto/www.site.com/blog/ and http:/www.site.com/foto/www.site.com/forum/ . Is there a parameter to trigger? There is no way for me to go back 1 level on the web hierarchy.

Not sure what your asking your links look fine. I would need a site link and more explanation exactly what is wrong.

The result links are not fine, otherwise I would have not asked you .
The link should look like: http://www.site.com/blog/ and not http://www.site.com/foto/www.site.com/blog/ because it won't work and result in a 500 error. For some reason when insrting the link, it appends it after the http://www.site.com/foto/, and not starting from the root. Blog, Forum and Foto sections are under root of the website, not under Foto. How do I insert in the menubar template the correct link to them, without resulting in such a bogus link?

What I am saying is the html your posted looks fine above.
Now look at your links in the menubar.
removed
You have not used full urls to those directories. You used a relative link therefore when you try clicking it they will be looked for under the directory your in. You must use a full url. See you posted this which is fine and is what I told you was fine. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
However looking at your menubar this is what you have in reality which is incorrect. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Really strange. I had used the correct url before, but than I changed it to "./folder" and nothing changed since that... Maybe a cache problem. Now it's ok.
Thanks!

This discussion was on someone placing relative links in their vb navbar and showing them over another product like photopost does not work as you need full urls. it is explained more indepth in the FAQ thread for vbulletin vBulletin Installation/Integration Common Issues and Resolutions. |
