What does this error mean?

Error creating watermarked original! Error code: 1

Command: "/usr/local/bin/composite" -compose over -gravity SouthEast 1 '/home/ggadmin/public_html/gallery/data/9433/darkvoid1.jpg' '/home/ggadmin/public_html/gallery/data/9433/darkvoid1.jpg'

I seem to get it when I try to upload a certain batch of images, but I try to upload a different batch and it works fine.

Could this have anything to do with what category I am trying to upload to? That is the only thing I can think of that is different from the one batch that works and the one that doesn't... along with title and description of course.

Ideas?

You can check that category sure if it works everywhere else and make sure one that there is no bogus info in that category spot where the watermark path is it should be empty to use your global watermark.

Next make sure that directory exists under data and is 777

Both of those things seem to check out. Anything else?

The only thing I could do to get it to work was to turn off my global watermark, but I want my images watermarked.

Like stated the watermark in that specific category needs to be blank so it uses the global watermark. If every other category watermarking works then the error would point to what I posted.

1. You have a watermark path overriding the global default one for that category

2. permissions are not right on that category or the category does not exist under data directory.

1. I found the data directory and have verified in Cuteftp that it is CHMODed to 777.

2. This is a brand new category that I've created and I have not applied a watermark to only this category.

Could it have something to do with it being in the 9433th directory in my data folder? I've previously mentioned I have a lot of categories and I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it as it is a newly created category that was completely empty when I got this error.

Not really the error is a permissions one trying to apply the watermark.
