How do I backup photos etc

Now that I have some photos up. I don't want to loose them or even worse when users start uploading photos I don't want to have issues if I loose something.

My IT guy says we have our web server backed up every day by our host. That is great, but will that help me if we loose everything and dont find out until the next backup of entire site and then the backup is a backup of what went wrong.

how can I get a backup that is archiveable, one that I can save and date that I know is good?

Does the utility for backup in the Admin panel work well?

If use it to backup, what is the process for restoring if needed?

You need to back up your /data directory under PhotoPost, as well as your mySQL database. I personally use the feature within phpMyAdmin to ensure all of the database is backed up.

I do the same as AdamNP also to ensure proper backups.
