| Hide Category Avatars, but to show subcategory avatars?
Is it possible to disable Index Avatars, but enable subcategory avatars (index thumbs)?
Since we recently upgraded it seems index thumbs are now automatically made and we don't want that.

Index Avatars are category avatars on the index.
Only difference is if you did not set one then the last uploaded photo in a cat would become an avatar.

But....this is new??
How do I disable this? I don't want any automatic Index Avatars. I only want them to show for subcategories, just like it was. (avatars set by mod or admin)

They never just showed for subcategories. They showed for whatever categories you allowed uploads to and tagged them.
You can remove this from image-inc.php to not automatically fill empty categories thats the only change Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

You would need to turn off category avatars entirely to do this and you would never see them anywhere. You can untag an avatar from any cat you dont want one on when viewing a photo.

Ok, so just to be sure:
I removed that piece of code from image-inc.php and the currently active Index Avatars. So from now on we won't get any new index avatars as long as we don't add them ourselves. Correct?
I probably can't completely remove that left column from the index page because that same template is also used for the sub-categories. Correct?

Today I discovered that moving a photo (by a moderator) from the member galleries to a sub-category also creates a thumbnail on our index page.
Guess there's some more code that we need to get rid off.
How do I fix this?
Thanks |
