Thanks,

Ive checked the paths (unless ive missed sumin out) soon as I make the changes, the page just goes blank and the standalone admin login fails to work. Ive even double checked it with old backed up config files for the gallery. All the details and paths seem the same.
I must be missing or doing something minor wrong
Any chance you could have a look at it for me? theirs no rush with it, ive switched the gallery off to the public at the mo since it is a fresh install.

What do you mean standalone gallery login if you properly install with vbulletin integration the admin login from vbulletin would work.

My suggestion is to reruin install and make sure your properly integrated with vbulletin.

These are the most common mistakes written up in a FAQ

vBulletin Installation/Integration Common Issues and Resolutions.

The blank page is number 2

standalone, as in when I use the gallery just as it is, without intergrating it itno vbulletin it works fine, admin login and everything works fine.

but like I said before, ive used the same details/path details as previous instalations when the intergration had worked fine for a whole year (since 2007) Ive done a complete fresh install (apart from the data folder)

soon as I go to the gallery admin panel and try to intergrate to vb, I get a blank screen soon as the changes are updated, then I cant login at all till Iremoved and use back up copies of the config file via ftp.

whats annoying is, ive used the same zip copy of the gallery since 2007 both have intergreated fine and worked well.

just looking through the link you pasted..

The gallery can not be a standalone if its integrated with vbulletin. You must rerun install and elect to integrate with vbulletin and the faq cover most of the common mistakes. I would not be able to comment further without seeing the site and what your issues might be.

when I mean standalone, I mean the gallery running fine on its own without the vb forum login etc.

yet when I do the intergration method from the gallery control panel by filling in the details it seems to screw up.

Its just frustrating cause The gallery has 500mb worth of data already pre linked and in use around the web, and all of a sudden it screws up. The gallery and forum software are both fine, I just dont understand how one year it works fine and next this

I'll try what you just suggested and try the intergration with another fresh install, see if that works directly.

You should be able to reinstall the gallery using the install script but as noted switching integrations is not normally something that one can do easily. How do you get all of your standalone users into your forum from your gallery for one? I do beleive you can do that with the vb impex script. There are also various threads here on how to switch integrations.

None of which though is a simple task there are lots of things that need to be done to do that.
