Some members can view pictures, others cant.. help!

Some of the members of my forum can view pictures when they go right to the main gallery page..others can not - and I can't figure out why!

Also, should be noted that the members who can AND can't view are in the same usergroup of "registered users."

Well okay so lets try and figure out what the difference is. You say they are in the same group so what message do the users get who cant view?

mikefear July 28th, 2008 08:59 PM

none.. they just go to the gallery and its blank.. it has the number of pictures/albums listed on the left hand side, but none of the pictures appear..

Here is what I would suggest.

1. Double check the vbulletin database settings in the config setup of Photopost to ensure you are accessing the correct database.

2. Double check the users usergroup just in case your mistaken as this issue seriously looks like a lack of permissions for the users usergroup

3. In admin edit usergroups resync the usergroups and set permissions for any new groups that might show up accordingly

4. Do the same in admin edit categories as you wish

Will try that and report findings. Thanks.

If your the gentleman who just sent details to us your issue was number one. Photopost was configured to use some old incorrect vbulletin database tables not the one that the forum was using so thats why new users where not able to view
