Missing Avatars

Hi All,

Did a fresh install of 611 but the avatars are not showing.
Did I miss a path someplace?

Thanks

Try making sure you function get_profiledata is this and see if this helps

I'll take a look.
Where can I find this code?

Chuck S July 23rd, 2008 10:10 PM

sorry in the vb3.php file located in the forums subdirectory of the product.

Hi Chuck,

I cut and pasted your code and the avatars are no longer showing as missing, now they are not showing at all. Any ideas?

Chuck S July 24th, 2008 07:49 AM

Nope honestly not try reapplying the code to the file and uploading.

Re cut, paste and uploaded . . . Still nothing.

Could it be something in vB 3.7.2?

I'll poke around some more and report back.

Chuck S July 24th, 2008 09:39 AM

What is the avatar url on the forum?

xowi July 24th, 2008 11:48 AM

This is really strange.

sorry but we can not see your page you require people to be registered to view things. Check in your forum settings in admin that your forum url is correct.

xowi July 24th, 2008 10:51 PM

Sorry about that; I have opened the gallery up to guests.

I did a fresh install of PhotoPost and the smilies are now showing but the avatars still are not.

There is not avatar under your name where it is in vb normally do you have any hacks installed that are going to change things ;)

No hacks, and I've replaced the vb3.php back to the original which shows where it "should" be.

Chuck S July 25th, 2008 06:21 PM

okay and what is the invalid url it is using and what is the true avatar url?

xowi July 25th, 2008 08:24 PM

I have the URL to the avatars set to http://domain/customavatars

I don't understand what you mean with regard to the invalid one.

Is there a path I need to change on the vb3.php page?

xowi July 26th, 2008 07:04 AM

Another piece of the puzzle that might help with finding the bad path.

When you click "logout" you get a "Not Found" page.

Chuck S July 26th, 2008 11:37 AM

What I am saying is you need to give me something to work with like what is the path of any bad avatar? I dont see an image at all so I dont have anything to work with
