Is it possible to host images on another server?

I want to use an off site server to host the growing Photopst "data" directory. I know that I can use a redirect for http requests but what about for writing to the data directories? That seems to require an absolute path.

Yes it requires an absolute path and therefore you can not host photos on another server than Photopost.

Here's what I'm thinking may be a solution to my need.

I'm using vBulletin 3.7. I'm guessing that PhotoPost uses the user table for integration. I can sync that table with the db on server number two where PhotoPost would be and use a cname DNS entry to direct requests to images.mydomain.com to domain number two where the Photopost scripts, data, and database reside.

Two issues would remain. First would be that users would need to sign in twice, once at each "site", and vBulletin style integration. Where does PhotoPost pick that up?

Photopost picks up the style etc by using the server path to find vbulletin so if we cant find that path you can not use the vb enhanced integration.

If they are on the same domain name but different subdomains you can set cookies like so to be recognized on both sites so no second login

cookie path /

cookie prefix bb

cookie domain .mydomain.com

Now that means the main domain name has to be the same.
