Not without doing something like this you need to use vb impex to import photopost users and then do all the rest of the steps reinstalling etc.

Chuck, perhaps that isn't the correct answer to ask.
How do you import PP to an existing vb setup, with no previous forum installation..

The link above explains how to do this. You definately need to use vbulletins impex importer to import your photopost users into vbulletin and then follow those steps in the linked thread to realign Photopost.

Is it a script for download here at PP?

| Nope not something of ours. If your trying to do vb as stated that is a script by them and you need to use that.

The instructions are the same for any forum but with SMF you would need to write some script to import your photopost users into SMF or start completely over.

If I start over, would it be possible to install SMF and PP from scratch, then import the exported old MYSQL user and images into the new PP Mysql tables?

You can simply reinstall Photopost into the same database photopost exists with SMF integration
Thats not the issue the issue is photo and comment ownership since those users dont exist in smf. I hope that clarifies the issue here.

OKay. I see what you are saying, the new install of PP can be installed to use SMF registration, but still use the old database for the content that is there. The problem is, ownership will disappear to what is currently in the original DB -

well yes your userids are all messed up etc so photo and comment ownership will be all out of whack because you switched integrations.
