What unit of storage does the filesize in pp_photos represent?

Where do you mean? Like for instance on edit usergroups where you specify a filesize restriction it is KB.

In the table itself. I am guessing it is in bytes. but just double checking.

In the photos table the filesize statement that is in bytes yes.
