Changing alt for index thumbs?

I have been searching to try to figure out how to change the Alt tags on the images to reflect the title of the picture. So far I have been able to do so on the images that appear in the recent photos, most popular images as well as the full size image but am having no luck with the others.

Specifically I would like to change the alt for the category thumb on the index to reflect the category title or bare minimum the title on the picture and I would like to be able to also change the alt for the images within the category to their title.

Any insight would be most appreciated.

well we dont pass a title but there is an option to do so in the code although its not finished.

It is possible so in showgallery.php line 877 this line

As far as the cat avatar its not possible without some more code hacking to actually change the catrow function to also grab the photo title and then you can assign it on the catavatar line to grab the imagethumb

That works for the category. If I can't change the index thumbs to display a title is there a way I can remove the file name from showing up?

In the short term I will upload an image and name it my category to help at least make it look better.

I am sure you folks are working on these things in your next build but if not I would like to suggest working on the alt tags for seo purposes. Your product is nice but with a few tweaks that I am not smart enough to do it would be amazing.

You would have to modify your function get_imagethumb and remove the filename from the actual alt tag in pp-inc.php
