| Watermark Problems
Chuck:
I saw your reply to this thread: Watermark Quote:
1. Make sure your watermark is a png image
2. Make sure the you will on the watermark path and set the following options to yes in admin => image protection => options
Enable on-the-fly image protection
This option uses the watermark.php script to serve images
When using on-the-fly image generation, do you want to overlay the watermark image?
You can use this feature for on-the-fly watermarks in combination with the on-the-fly image generation.
Full server path to watermark overlay image.
| I can't get my watermark to show on my photos, even though I have done exactly like you say and my settings are the same on another gallery I run, which works on that Gallery.
I am running Version 6.0 and cannot find "admin => image protection => options"
I have the following Settings: Show Photo Options
Enable on-the-fly image protection: YES
When using on-the-fly image generation, do you want to overlay the watermark image? YES Watermark Options
Enable watermarking of photos with overlay image? NO
If enabled, position of overlay watermark on images. SOUTH EAST
Full server path to watermark overlay: image. /rudephot/public_html/data/watermark.png
Any suggestions mate? Really frustrating.
Cheers Mate
Billy

Is that the full server path? You can look at your global options data path etc to see the full path to photopost
The option I noted in admin is indeed down the bottom of the admin options all the way down on the left

Hi Chuck,
I offer free avatars on my site, so how do I fix it so the watermark does not show on the avatars? Obviously the watermark is larger than the avatars.
Cheers Mate

Well what type of watermarking you doing? If your using the permanent watermarking you can turn it off per category in edit categories in admin. If your using on the fly you are forcing all images to be overlayed with the watermark.

sorry to bring up an old thread but I have a similiar issue
I have all the settings set correctly, my problem is it will watermark members galleries when a member uploads to there..
If they upload to a category that has been added it will not watermark the image, i've made sure that the watermark options in the category are set to yes

If your using watermarks permanently and it works in one cat and not another then the issue must be that things are not set correctly in the other cat as far as the usergroups permissions for watermarking under edit categories for that category.

These checked usergroups will have their photos stamped with your overlay photo.*
All the usergroups are checked for the album I am uploading too..
